MY INVESTING JOURNEY

My career as a real estate investor started in 2011 with my acquisition in the Toronto Area in Canada. This was well before the market's explosive growth starting in 2015. Over that decade, I was fortunate enough to ride a phenomenal wave, building a $15M real estate investment portfolio in Hamilton, ON, that I independently owned and managed. But, the success was dampened by six-digit tax bills, compounded by frustrating tenant and landlord laws and an increasingly complex municipal regulatory environment.

FINDING FREEDOM

In 2020, after extensive travels through 50+ countries and spending thousands of hours dedicated to deep research and strategic planning 2020, I made the difficult decision to leave Canada. After considering options in Europe, Asia, and Central America, I chose the beautiful island of Antigua and Barbuda in the eastern Caribbean. As of 2021, I’m a proud resident and recently minted citizen. For me, Antigua is a perfect place to live, and invest in a more tax-efficient, emerging real estate market.
